Detained shooter: I was shooting at hell not kids
The man suspected of gunning down six people in the Russian city of Belgorod testifies to police
31-year-old Sergei Pomazun was detained at a railway station in Belgorod, Russia, yesterday. He spent the whole day “lying low”, he told the police. The criminal was reported to have the whole arsenal on him but only a knife was found. He stabbed Maj. Yuryi Sedyh with it. The detained said that he had sunk his weapon.
Sergei Pomazun who had many previous convictions brought down fire in a shop and continued shooting in the street on Monday. Five people including a seventh former died on the spot. A 16-year-old girl died in hospital later.
Policemen interrogated the shooter right after his detention yesterday. “I did not shoot at kids. I shot at hell,” Pomazun said. And then he repeated – “at hell”.
