Ukraine-England match was a kind of stubborn struggle. Blohin's team wanted to score a goal first but it turned out the other way: Steven Gerrard did away with the fullback and passed the ball to Wayne Rooney's head - it passed two Ukrainians and went between Pyatov's legs.
Ukraine tried to tie and scored a goal! But the judge nullified the goal because John Terry had managed to return the ball from the empty gates. The video showed that the ball was in the gates but there are no videos in football... veteran Andrei Shevchenko came to save Ukraine but it did not help - the score was 0:1 and England made it to the quarterfinal where the team will play with Italians.

France-Sweden match was different. The French were clearly saving energy for the quarterfinal and allowed Sweden to storm out. The Swedes had no chance to get to the play-off after England had defeated them. But they decided to play to the full and Zlatan Ibrahimović scored a beautiful goal during the 56th minute!
The French created a few dangerous situations but their game was not that intense after Laurent Blanc had replaced the leader of the team - Samir Nasri. The Swedes scored Larson's goal during the 92nd minute in response. The French are in the second position in group D and will play with Spain.
