Lithuanian Ambassador apologizes to Ales Byalyatski's wife
Edminas Bagdonas has informed that Lithuania is taking the incident which led to Byalyatski's arrest very seriously.
According to Bagdonas' words, reported by Radio Liberty, Lithuania reproves the fact that the instruments of bilateral legal cooperation are used in political aims for harassment of civil society. Therefore, Lithuania temporarily suspends provision of legal help to Belarus.
The Ambassador also met with Chair of the Belarusian Association of Journalists Zhanna Litvina, head of the Belarusian Helsinki Committee Aleh Hulak and human rights defender Uladzimir Labkovich.
