Lyabedzka: I have to conduct meetings surrounded by “security guards”
The leader of the United Civil Party has claimed that representatives of the special services are spying on him.
Anatol Lyabedzka, leader of the United Civil Party, has noticed that he is being followed. The politician has told Euroradio that shadowing is unprofessional and that it may be done on purpose.
Anatol Lyabedzka: “Victar Karnyayenka and I made an appointment by phone yesterday. Naturally, we meet “with an entourage” of representatives of the special services. The shadowing is rather rude and unprofessional. Maybe this “openness” is purposeful, maybe is it a message that a criminal case has been started against me and that I am in for persecution”.
Lyabedzka has noted that such actions were aimed at exercising political and psychological pressure on him. However, the politician is not going to send an inquiry to the police in order to find out whether the investigative actions are legal.
