Mahileu Art Museum painted on 200-thousand bank note
On March 12, the National Bank presented a new Br 200 thousand bank note in Minsk.
The bank note is designed in green and grey colours. The main colours of the bank note's face are green-grey and orange, and the back is designed in green-grey, brown and yellow.
The new bank note's size is standard - 150 x 74 mm.
On the basic side there is an image of the Mahileu Regional Art Museum named after P.V. Maslennikau. It was built in 1903-1914 and really is one of the most beautiful buildings in Mahileu.
The building of the regional theatre, also in Mahileu, was the Museum's rival. "However, the theater did not meet technical requirements of the design, so we decided to get down to the Museum", - say representatives of the National Bank.
The back side bears an image of a decorative collage made of the Museum's architectural elements. The water mark is a fragment of the Museum's stucco work and ceiling.
The new bank note has been printed with a signature of current National Bank's head Nadzeya Yermakova.
Before this, the 100-thousand bank note was the biggest one.
