OSCE observers meet opposition
One more briefing was held in Minsk on September 22.
UCP leader Anatol Lyabedzka, BPF Party leader Alyaksei Yanukevich and co-leader of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Vital Rymasheuski represented Belarus at the meeting, new.ucpb.org reports.
The BPF Party and the UCP decided to withdraw their candidates earlier. The BCD refused to take part in the election campaign and supported the election boycott from the very beginning.
About 50 OSCE PA and OSCE/ODIHR observers attended the meeting. Every Belarusian representative had an opportunity to present their opinion about the situation and to answer the observers' questions in a 10-minute speech.
The Belarusian election system has completely degraded and the only way out is "a fair election without Lukashenka", Anatol Lyabedzka said. Vital Rymasheuski noted that "the people that the regime considers to be the most dangerous" cannot take part in the election because they are imprisoned or arrested or because they have emigrated from the county.
