OSCE PA urges Lukashenka to reconsider refusal to pardon
OSCE PA President Petros Efthymiou has urged the Belarusian authorities to cancel the death penalty.
He has stressed that he is worried about Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s decision to refuse to pardon Uladzislau Kavalyou and Dzmitry Kanavalau sentenced to death.
BelaPAN reminds that President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Jean-Claude Mignon and other PACE members as well as President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz also urged Lukashenka to do it yesterday.
