Picket of "Belaya Rus": "Election programme? He is a good person!"
Euroradio has found out who agitates for candidates in the governmental civil organization.
“Programme? This is Dzmitry Yauhenavich Shautsou. He is the chief physician of Soviet District polyclinic #34. He is a very good person", - says a man in a new suit - Andrei Zhurauski, teacher of English from school #19.
5 or 6 teachers, young and not very young, are rushing about near the candidate's stands. They are giving out leaflets with Shautsou's programme.
However, the teachers cannot say much about their candidate. They advise us to look through the stands and read the programme. They cannot say anything about his family either. My interlocutor does not even know whether his candidate is a member of "Belaya Rus"!
I can find out a bit more at the picket. People work in shifts there. Teachers are working today, doctors will work tomorrow and somebody else will work the day after tomorrow.
The teacher wearing a suit assured me that spending 3 or 4 hours at the picket after a workday was sheer joy for pedagogues. They could help a good candidate and talk to people.
I did not trust the pedagogue's words much. Furthermore, his young colleagues were not enthusiastic. Some of them were standing far from the picket settling their personal matters on the phone.
