Students seize central TV-channel in Greece
They demanded air time to announce their demands.
It happened during the evening news issue. A group of approximately 60 youngsters disrupted the program. They demanded air time to speak up to the authorities with regard to the new law on higher education, which, in their opinion, violates the students' rights. The channel's administration conducted negotiations with the occupants. The managers suggested that the students should hand in their demands in the written form to read them out on air, while the activists demanded to provide air time to them directly.
As a result, it has been agreed that the students' statement will be read out and broadcasted as a video-record, news agencies inform.
