Swedish embassy returns to Minsk
Sweden's foreign minister Carl Bildt breaks the news via Twitter
"After some difficulties, we will soon send a chargé back to run our Embassy in Minsk in Belarus. Good for everyone," writes Bildt.
The Swedish Embassy in Minsk and the Belarusian Embassy in Stockholm were closed down after the "teddy bears airdrop" scandal in 2012. The freeze in relations between the two countries was initiated by Belarus president Aliaksandr Lukashenka in retaliation for the teddy bears stunt.
