Trucks queuing at Lithuanian and Latvian borders

Interfax.by informs about it referring to the State Border Committee. There are 600 trucks queuing at the border check-point Kamenny Loh, 320 – in Katlouka, 170 – in Benyakoni, 250 – in Pryvalka and 330 – in Urbany.

The longest queues have been registered in Kamenny Loh (Lithuanian border). Huge queues can be seen in Urbany (Latvian border) at the weekends.

According to customs officers, the queues can be explained by the fact that there are no fuel import restrictions in Lithuania and Latvia. That is why drivers tend to refuel in Belarus and enter the European Union with a full petrol tank.
