Ukraine does not believe in training session in Nyaznanava
The Ukrainian State Veterinary Service has informed Euroradio about it.
Ukraine forbade the import of Belarusian pork on February 29. According to the official report of the State Veterinary Service, it has been done “in connection with the probability of distribution of African plague in the Republic of Belarus”.
Euroradio has asked the Ukrainian institution for comments. Anatoli Osadchy, head of the press service, says that Belarus is refusing to respond to Ukrainian inquiries about the situation in Nyaznanava.
“The first question is why all the pigs were eliminated in one of Hrodna Province villages. We have not received any reply so far. I think you should agree with me that the whole livestock is never killed during training sessions. There are other methods. We have asked the question and we have not received any reply”.
According to Ukraine, they have to look for information of the neighbouring country’s veterinary service in mass media instead of getting it from their Belarusian colleagues. The import ban will be lifted after Belarus presents firsthand information about the elimination of pigs in Nyaznanava.
Let us remind you that the veterinary services eliminated the whole livestock of pigs in the village of Nyaznanava, Hrodna Province, on February 16-18. According to the official version, it was a veterinary training session.
