“We assign students and organize their practice at enterprises. But it is difficult to wait for a year", - says BSTU pro-rector Syarhei Kaspyarovich.
Vacancies for graduates are becoming outdated and the university fears that there will be no jobs for assigned students. And... it may be necessary to re-assign them. Such things happen from time to time even now!
“The application was delivered in February. Students have just graduated and then they start sending refusals in June and July", - explained Syarhei Kaspyarovich to Euroradio.
BSU has welcomed the vice PM's suggestion because "graduates should dispose themselves to work in advance". However, they also fear that employers may not wait for a year.
“It is good when students know where they will be assigned to work in advance - they will be able to practice there. However, one enterprise sent an application to us this year and withdrew it later. So, it is not clear how it should be realized...", - says pro-rector Alyaksei Toustsik.
However, BNTU students are assigned during their practice in the 4th year. They did not wait for Anatol Tozik's statement. They have got the hang...
“We have got the hang long ago. Students practice and they look at them when they are in the 4th year. And then they send applications inviting them", - the staff department is proud of it.
The statement of the deputy PM has not reached the staff department of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs yet. Graduates are assigned in their 5th year. And they sign 5-year contracts.
4th-year BSTU student Vika from Pinsk is ready for assignment. She is studying publishing and wants to work in Brest.
“You can write your diploma at the enterprise and you will know that they need you, that they want you to work for them", - says Vika.
Let us remind you that students who studied for free have to work for 2 years in the jobs they are assigned to. Graduates of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have to work for 5 years.
Euroradio has asked passers-by how much they owe to the state and what it should do for them. The replies are in the street poll
