A Euroradio journalist has bought 5 dollars in an affiliate of “Belarusbank”. The procedure took about 10 minutes. Probably the banks have not got used to the new system yet.
“You are the first client to be served with your passport today”, - a bank employee congratulated her. According to her, the procedure is time-consuming because you have to put in absolutely all the information – the surname, name, patronymic, the document number and series and the personal number and date of birth.
They will not ask you why you buy foreign currency regardless of the sum, said an employee of “Belarusbank” to Euroradio. The new system has been implemented in all foreign currency exchange offices today.
