Rescuers pull mammoth remains from river in Homiel region

Emergencies Ministry's divers have found the remains of a mammoth in the Homiel region, the press service of the agency reports.
It happened on August 1 at 2:10 pm while the rescuers were inspecting the water area of the Besiadz River near the village of Sviacilavičy of the Vietka district. The divers found the remains of an animal and assumed that it was a mammoth.
A specialist from the Museum of the Homiel Palace and Park Ensemble arrived at the site and confirmed that the found remains were the ones of a mammoth.
