Romanchuk: Anti-crisis program to become a basis for UDF's common platform
A roundtable meeting on the anti-crisis program of the United Democratic Forces (UDF) took place in Minsk. It was attended by members of the UDF's National Committee and famous Belarusian economists. Economist Yaraslau Romanchuk told the European Radio for Belarus that since the previous draft of the program was not approved by the leftists, a new draft was drawn up:
"The left-wing block of our political spectrum was not satisfied with the anti-crisis program outlined by us. Therefore, this is an attempt to use an expert community in order to outline some 15 anti-crisis measures that have to be done regardless of the political views", Ramanchuk said.
He also noted that when drafting the document, the authors took into account the proposals and wishes of managers from both the public and private sectors, expecially small-size entrepreneurs. It is expected that after final touches are made, the document will become a common platform of the United Democratic Forces.
The roundtable meeting was attended by Anatol Liabedzka, Alexander Dobrovolski, Stanislau Bahdankevich, Alexander Vaitovich, Andrei Vardamatski, Alexander Chubryk, Leanid Zaika and others.
