Soldiers from Russia and China will not take part in this year's military parade on May 9 in Minsk, Belarusian Defense Ministry's spokesperson Natallia Haurusik told Euroradio on Thursday.
"Russia and China have decided not to send their troops to participate in the May 9 parade in Minsk due to the epidemiological situation in the world," she said.
Parade units from Russia and China (one from each country) were originally scheduled to be in Minsk on May 9 along with 19 Belarus Armed Forces units.
As of April 30, Belarus has 14 027 confirmed COVID19 cases and 89 fatalities.
