Russia forbids import of Liberian and Indian fruit and vegetables from Belarus
The Russian Agricultural Inspectorate has imposed new restrictions on fruit and vegetables supplies from Belarus.
The Russian inspectorate has informed the Chief State Inspectorate for Plant Protection, Quarantine and Seed Growing about the decision. Russia is asking not to certify Liberian and Indian fruit and vegetables after March 1, 2016. In particular, fresh champignons, lettuce, pears and apples were mentioned.
Specialists of the Russian Agricultural inspectorate are worried about the increase of the supplies of Indiana and Liberian fruit and vegetables from Belarus.
