Russia may decrease duty-free oil supplies to Belarus
The amount of duty-free Russian oil supplied to Belarus for domestic usage may be decreased. If our country introduces additional duties and payments for the transit of Russian oil, the Russian Federation will decrease oil supplies in response to it. According to “Interfax”, it is said in the protocol approved by the Russian Federation. It introduces changes in the Russian-Belarusian agreement on oil and mineral oil supplies.
Let us remind you that 6.3 million tons of duty-free oil will be supplied to Belarus this year. The remaining 15.2 million tons out of the reserved 21.5 million tons will have 100% of the duty included in their cost.
The amount of Russian oil used for domestic purposes in Belarus has to be corrected every year by October 1. The real changes in oil extraction, production and consumption in our country have to be taken into account.
