Libya frees Belarusians convicted two years ago - Russian MFA
3 Belarusians, several Russians and Ukrainians, found guilty in 2012 of military cooperation with the Gaddafi regime, are released in Libya.
They were sentenced to ten years in prison with hard labor. The Russian Foreign Ministry said that more than 20 citizens of Russia, Belarus and Ukraine had been set free. It is noted that these matters had not been reported because of the "delicacy of the steps taken" and the difficult and dangerous situation in Libya. The names of the released and other details have not been revealed.
Russian officials say that the released nationals of Russia, Belarus and Ukraine have already returned home, reports BBC.
