Ryhor Kastusyou claims he was blackmailed by members of BPF Party’s council

Ryhor Kastusyou has claimed that he was suggested withdrawing his candidature in support of the leaders of the campaigns “Tell the Truth!” and “European Belarus” Uladzimir Nyaklyayeu and Andrei Sannikau before the registration, reports BelaPAN.
The suggestion “was made by two members of the council and it sounded like… blackmail”. According to Kastusyou, they claimed that the Central Election Commission would announce fewer than 100 thousand signatures valid and he would not be registered. The politician considers such a suggestion to be “insulting to him, to the people who collected signatures in his support and to the BPF Party as a political organization”.

Ryhor Kastusyou also informed that BPF party members had collected 250 thousand signatures for different presidential contenders.
