On August 12, the political prisoner, former presidential candidate Mikalai Statkevich is celebrating his 59th birthday. It has been his fifth consecutive birthday in prison - he is the last of the prisoners from the Square 2010, because he is refusing to write a petition for pardon. Mikalai Statkevich was sentenced to six years in prison.
The #Sky4Statkievich (Sky for Statkevich) campaign was launched in the social networks on the birthday of the political prisoner. Its participants photograph the sky, which Mikalai has not been able to see for almost five years, and a picture with the corresponding hashtag.
The wife of the political prisoner, Maryna Adamovich, said that her husband was allowed to call outside, so he knows about the campaign and thanks everyone.
