Star shower over Belarus: in pictures
The Perseids meteor shower reached its peak at night on August 12.
Euroradio took pictures of the Perseids meteor shower above the ancient settlement of Kreva. The star shower was visible over the XIII-XIV centuries castle, the Alexander Nevsky church (1854), and the Catholic Church of Transfiguration of Christ.
The Perseids is one of the biggest and most famous meteor streams which appears when the Earth enters the dust trace of the Swift-Tuttle cometh. The meteors of this stream can be seen from June 17 till August 24.
