Sweden stops looking for Russian submarine
It was said to have been noticed near Stockholm several times.
Sweden intercepted a mayday call in Russian, Swedish mass media reported last week. Moscow refuted any connection with the mysterious object. The Russian authorities thought that it could be a Dutch submarine.
Sweden started a new stage of the search for the object noticed in the country’s territorial waters on Wednesday.
Weapons could be used against the submarine to make it come to the surface, BBC quoted Swedish rear-admiral Anders Grenstad.
