Belarus' Aliaksandra Sasnovich and Taylor Townsend from the United States were defeated by Latisha Chan and Chan Hao-ching from Chinese Taipei 5-7, 5-7 on their way to the Australia Open quarterfinal.
On 21 January, Belarusian-Belgian team of Aryna Sabalenka and Elise Mertens suffered defeat from the Czech duo of Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova 2-6, 6-2, 6-3, reports BELTA.
