Tenth participant of Freedom Day action detained in Minsk
Radashkovichy inhabitant Alyaksandr Bliznyuk has been detained.
He was detained neat Surhanau Street, 31 after the manifestation on March 25, Radio Liberty reports. Bliznyuk was shouting out extremist mottoes and was carrying a yellow-blue flag, the riot police said. Alyaksandr Bluznyuk stood trial in Minsk Zavodski Distarct Court. Judge Alena Nyakrasava returned him guilty and sentenced to 5 days in jail.
The Freedom Day manifestation was officially allowed by Minsk City Executive Committee. About 2500 people took part in it.
