Three activists detained in Minsk for 'Free Yury Rubtsou' banner
They hung out the banner in support of the political prisoner on Friday evening in Lahoiski Road near the store Hippo.
On the evening of June 19 in Minsk, police detained activists Maxim Vinyarski, Leanid Kulakou and Siarhei Matskoit. They were detained near the Hippo store in Lahoiski Road. According to Radio Liberty, the activists were detained when they hung a banner 'Free Yury Rubtsou.'
The detainees were charged with disorderly conduct. It is expected that the trial will be held on Monday in Minsk rayon court.
The political prisoner Yury Rubtsou was sentenced to 2 years in prison when he refused to work for low wages in a special labour camp and made a tattoo on his chest saying "Lukashenka, go away." Now he is in a temporary detention facility in Baranavichy. He got to the camp for insulting the judge, although he had been brought to the trial without clothing.
