Drunk driver in fresh trial in Minsk (video)
The 33-year-old Minsker already stood trial for drunk driving. It ended with a Br 4 million fine then.
He committed the same offense recently. The court took the decision on car confiscation in favor of the state. The man got two years of freedom restriction without sending to a correctional institution. As the accused conducted entrepreneur activity, he was prohibited to connect his work with driving for the nearest 5 years. The Minsker is also obliged to pay the fine - nearly 40 million Belarusian roubles.
This is the third similar court decision in Belarus, notes ONT TV-channel. Two months have passed since the introduction of stricter legislation with regard to drunk drivers. 48 cases have been sent to courts since then.
