2 Belarusians evacuated from Syria
They were transported to Moscow on a Russian plane at night.
38 people were evacuated, RIA Novosti reports: 32 Russians, 4 Ukrainians and 2 Belarusians. Rescuers, psychologists and medics from the Russian ECM accompanied them.
The people were delivered to Moscow railway stations and airports ‘so that they could return home’. The Belarusians will probably return home today.
The civil war continues in Syria. The group Islamic State is active there – they are seizing cities. Nothing has been reported about the Belarusians’ work in that country.
