Ukraine asks Russia to cease fire on January 19
Ukraine has been sticking to Minsk agreements for four months and expects Russia to do the same.
The Ukrainian MFA has prepared a special statement for Russia. Official Kiev has suggested a ceasefire starting from January 19, UNIAN reports. Kiev has also suggested adopting a schedule of adding Minsk agreements of November 3, 2014 to the Russian laws.
Russian and Ukrainian representatives signed an agreement to stick to Minsk Memorandum in Minsk. It guaranteed ceasefire, removal of heavy arms from the front line and a return to the demarcation line. However, Russia withdrew its signature later, the Ukrainian MFA claims.
Ukraine has suggested signing the corresponding ceasefire schedule. Official Kiev is also ready to take part in the trilateral contact group negotiations at any time.
