Ukrainian air forces bomb Donetsk Airport (photo, video)
Ukrainian paratroopers ‘are cleaning up’ the territory of the airport now.
An antiterrorist operation has stared in Donetsk today. Ukrainian troops delivered an ultimatum to armed militants and started attacking after they had rejected it.
Two SU-25 planes made warning shots at first. The militants shot back from all their weapons. Two MIG-29 started attacking the militants’ positions. Armed separatists started fleeing in all directions on the territory of the airport.
Paratroopers from 4 MIG-29 helicopters landed at the airport and started cleaning up the territory. A helicopter destroyed an antiaircraft mount. No information about the losses of the Ukrainian troops has been presented yet.
