Diplomats from Ukraine, EU, USA and Russia to meet next week
They will discuss the situation in Ukraine. It will be the first meeting of the kind since start of the conflict.
High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, Russian Foreign Minister Serhey Lavrov and his Ukrainian counterpart Andrey Deshchitsa are expected to take part in the negotiations, BBC reports.
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry offered conducting negotiations with Russia, Ukraine, the USA and European Union within 10 days in a phone conversation with Sergey Lavrov. The Russian Minister for Foreign Affairs said that Russia was ready to consider a large-scale format of settling the situation in Ukraine. However, South and East Ukraine should be represented at such negotiations, he noted.
