Ukrainians capture Belarusian who ‘protected granny from Lugansk’ (photo)
He was fighting at pro-Russia militants’ side.
Ukrainian troops captured a Belarusian in Lugansk Oblast. Militants attacked Papasnaya on February 1. However, the city was defended by Ukrainian soldiers. Militants took about 30 killed and wounded people with them and left 12 behind. A few wounded people were captured by Ukrainians and almost all of them died in hospital. Only ‘a Belarusian’ with light injuries survived.
According to him, he came to Donets Basin ‘to defend his granny form Lugansk’, informator.lg.ua reports.
There are Belarusians both on pro-Russia militants’ and on Ukraine’s side. KGB warned them about responsibility for it in Belarus.
