US ready to impose sanctions on Russia
The United States is ready to impose sanctions on Russia, U.S. President Barack Obama told Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
The United States is not going to recognize the Crimean referendum results, RBK reports referring to the White House press service. Russia’s actions in Crimea violate Ukraine’s sovereignty, the U.S. President noted.
The conflict may still be settled in a diplomatic way, Obama noted. The main term for it is ‘stopping the intervention of Russian armed troops into Crimea’, he said.
