Victor Yanukovich gives evidence at video conference
Interpol has refused to look for the former Ukrainian President recently.
Ukrainian ex-President Victor Yanukovich has agreed to give evidence in the criminal case started against him at home. He will reply policemen’s questions at a video conference, TSN reports. Several criminal cases were started against Yanukovich in Ukraine. He is also accused of misappropriation and treason.
Yanukovich had been wanted by Interpol for a few months. However, the organization refused to look for him on July 21. Yanukovich is persecuted for political reasons, Interpol explained.
Victor Yanukovich fled to Russia after almost three months of mass protests in the centre of Kiev at the beginning of 2014.
