Victoria Azarenka makes it to second round of Roland Garros
The Belarusian has started the tournament with a victory.
Belarusian Victoria Azarenka has made it to the second round of the French Open. She defeated Spaniard María-Teresa Torró-Flor (World No. 131) in two sets— 6:2, 6:1.
Victoria Azarenka is the World No. 27 now. The Belarusian will compete with the winner of the match between Czech Lucie Hradecká and Chinese Saisai Zheng. World No.1 Serena Williams is also in the same tournament network and Azarenka may compete with her in the third round.
It is the ninth time Victoria is playing in Paris. Her best result was making it to the semi-finals in 2013 where she got defeated by Russian Maria Sharapova.
