Victoria Azarenka starts Maimi Open with victory
She played her first round match there on Wednesday, March 25.
Victoria Azarenka has won a first round match at Miami Open. She defeated Sílvia Soler-Espinosa of Spain in two sets – 6:1, 6:3. She was losing 1:3 in the last set. Azarenka in the World No. 36 in the WTA rankings. Her rival is No.67.
The Belarusian will compete with Jelena Janković of Serbia in the next round (the World No. 17).
The tournament prize fin is over $5 million.
