Volha Havartsova lost starting match of Dubai tennis tournament
Belarusian tennis player Volha Havartsova has lost the starting match of a tennis tournament in Dubai. The prize fund of the tournament is 2 million dollars. She was defeated by a Ukrainian Elena Bondarenko in the first round on February 16 - 4:6, 3:6.
Tatstsyana Puchak and Russian Anatsasiya Rodionova defeated Vera Dushenina from Russia and Maria Koryttseva from Ukraine at the beginning of the doubles tournament (1/16 final) a day before — 7:5, 4:6, 10:7.
Puchak easily made it to the second round of the singles tournament after Marinne Giraud from Mauritius refused to play and lost to a Chinese player Zi Yan — 6:4, 1:6, 1:6.
