Volha Nyaklyaeva files new complaint with prosecutor's office
Rumors about Nyaklyaeu's death are groundless, Vadzim Gigin, editor-in-chief of Belaruskaya Dumka magazine, said in a statement, according to numerous reports in the internet. He shared his thoughts, saying Nyaklyaeu had problems with alcohol and underwent suggestive treatment against drinking. Such treatment is a serious hazard to the heart. Euroradio called Nyaklyaeu's wife Volha who fears the problems might be associated with something else.
Nyaklyaeva: "Today I again filed a complaint with the prosecutor's office over Gigin's statement. I am really worried, because he never had addiction problems. If he has problems, you know what they are associated with".
Nyaklyaeu's wife said she received no official confirmation that Nyaklyaeu is indeed at a KGB pre-trial prison. Volha is demanding official information about the whereabouts of Nyaklyaeu. She also wants a lawyer to have access to Nyaklyaeu and see if her husband can walk.
The complaint must be processed within three days.
