White Guard generals' memorial vandalized in Moscow
A memorial plate in Moscow for the White Guard generals Piotr Krasnov, Andrei Shkuro, Timofey Domanov and Helmut von Panvitz has been destroyed. The memorial is located at the territory of the Orthodox All Saints Cathedral. It was errected by the Russian ultra-right organizations. According to the Moscow police reports, three unidentified perpetrators used hammers to break the plate into four pieces. Police failed to detain the criminals red-handed, reports Interfax.
The incident took place on May 9, the Victory Day in Russia, the traditional holiday to celebrate the defeat of the Nazi's Germany in WWII. The afore mentioned generals fought on the side of Germany against the Soviet Union during the last war.
