Will Russia hockey team be deprived of silver medals?
It may happen as a result of a scandal during the performance of the Canadian anthem after the final match.
Russia national hockey team may be deprived f silver medals won at the recent world championship in the Czech Republic, two-time Olympic champions, famous Soviet hockey player Alexander Kozhevnikov (Spartak, Krylya Sovetov) said.
Russia was defeated by Canada in the finals – 1:6. Almost all the Russians had left before the Canadian anthem was performed. “The Russian team may be deprived of their silver medals for leaving the award ceremony,” Alexander Kozhevnikov told gazeta.ru. “This variant is certainly being considered,” Kozhevnikov stressed.
