Yakauleuski: Lukashenka demonstrated KGB's influence on foreign politics
The famous political observer has commented on Alyaksandr Lukashenka's meeting with the head for KGB.
The Belarusian state leader asked Valery Vakulchyk about constructive relations with the West. Raman Yakauleuski has commented on the possible message of this meeting:
Yakauleuski: "I think that it is quite natural. KGB controls every sphere of life including the state's foreign politics... maybe the message was addressed to the West ( but we can only guess!). It demonstrates that KGB may slacken repressions directed against civil activists. We all know that this structure is the main instrument of repressions."
However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not been pushed to the sidelines, the expert said. Lukashenka uses different instruments to promote his policy.
