Yanukovich’s younger son drowns in Baikal
He was taking part in sports competitions when he fell through the ice.
The younger son of former Ukrainian President Victor Yanukovich has drowned in Lake Baikal, RBK refers to a source in the politician’s circle.
Victor Victorovich Yanukovich was taking part in a sports competition on Lake Baikal. The minibus Volkswagen carrying him and five other people suddenly fell through the ice. Yanukovich junior died. The other people managed to survive.
Yanukovich’s younger son Victor was born in 1981. He headed the youth affiliate of the Party of Regions. Yanukovich junior became one of the youngest MPs in the history of Ukraine in 2006.
The Euroepan Union imposed sanctions on Yanukovich junior.
