Yarmoshyna: Even a negative opinion is better than dead silence
The CEC chairperson refrains from predictions over OSCE's stance with regards to the results of the upcoming presidential election in 2015.
Any assessment of the O SCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights is better than silence, CEC chairperson Lidziya Yarmoshyna claimed on November 11.
"We can criticize the OSCE ODIHR but it is the most influential observation mission anyway,” BELTA quotes Yarmoshyna. “That is why I think that it is necessary to cooperate with it. Even a negative opinion about the elections is better than dead silence. We should not think that OSCE officials are obdurate and unable to conduct a flexible policy.”
Lidziya Yarmoshyna did not make any forecasts about the OSCE’s opinion as regards the future presidential campaign in Belarus. The presidential election will be held in 2015. “The assessment of the presidential election-2010 changed overnight after the events in the Square,” the CEC chairperson said.
