Young Front members disrupt opening of scandalous graffiti (photo, video)
The graffiti depicting the friendship of Belarus and Russia was painted in Mahilyouskaya Street. The opening ceremony started with a scandal. Young Front members headed by Zmitser Dashkevich tried getting to the official ceremony appointed for 5 p.m. However, they were stopped by athletic-looking young men.
Then Young Front activists hoisted white-red-white flags and posters. Dashkevich was holding a poster with the inscription “Union with Aggressor = War”. The action participants were shouting out mottoes against the Russian aggression.
Policemen are drawing up reports against Young Front members.
17.20 Policemen and people in plain clothes have surrounded the activists.
17.30 The action is over. Reports for an unauthorized picket are being drawn up against the Young Front members.
The festive opening ceremony did not start: nobody made a speech there.
