Young Front members to stand trials for solidarity with Ukraine victims
Andrus Tsanyuta, Natallya Kryvashei and Stas Buly will stand trials in Homel's Central District Court on April 17.
They are accused of violating the rules of conducting mass actions, human rights website Viasna reports. They will stand trials for commemorating people killed in Grushevski and Intitutskaya Streets in Kiev. The activists laid flowers and lit candles near ‘the ground zero’ in Lenin Square in Homel on February 22. The police detained them. Kastus Zhukouski who was filming the action was detained together with the young people.
They got to know about the trials from SMS messages on April 16, Tsanyuta said. A representative of the court added that the young people had been summoned to court earlier. However, they did not receive any notices, the young people said.
