Yuliya Timoshenko is against use of force in East Ukraine
The presidential candidate has urged to settle the crisis by means of negotiations.
No force should be used against armed militants in East Ukraine, Yuliya Timoshenko said on TV on April 13, lb.ua reports.
There are two ways out of the situation, Timoshenko believes. However, the use of force will cause Russia’s aggression and result in bloodshed, she thinks.
The Ukrainian authorities should conduct negotiations at the intentional level, Timoshenko said.
The ultimatum presented by acting Ukrainian President Alexander Turchinov expired at 9 a.m. on April 14. The people who had seized administrative buildings had to lay down arms and release the buildings. They would have been exempt from criminal responsibility if they had done it.
Timoshenko speaks starting from the 6th minute.
