Zyanon Paznyak: I have to work, not celebrate
Legendary Zyanon Paznyak is today celebrating his 65th birthday. The politician says he has been receiving congratulations from friends in Belarus and foreign countries since morning. But, he is celebrating his anniversary at a work desk, not a birthday table, Paznyak admitted to ERB.
Zyanon Paznyak: “I have to work today: running the party; all the projects, all the analysis and consultations. This work has lasted for 15 years. In addition, I work on my books, articles, new projects and statements. It's all with me. This is the work from dawn till sunset which is not paid by anyone”.
Paznyak is expected to visit Prague on May 6. He is one of five representatives of the Belarusian society who were invited to attend a civic forum and meet with Czech Republic's foreign minister ahead of EU's Eastern Partnership summit on May 7. The list of Belarusian civil sociaty leaders includes Zyanon Paznyak, Alexander Kozulin, Alexander Milinkevich, Stanislau Shushkevich and Ivonka Survilla. Several days ago, the leader of the Conservative Christian Party of the Belarusian Popular Front said he was not sure he would travel to Prague.
