10 thousand packs of cigarettes seized by customs at border near Vitsebsk
Vitebsk customs officers have prevented an illegal export attempt of a huge consignment of cigarettes at the check-point Urbany at Belarus-Latvia border.
A cache was found in a minibus during a check-up. About 10 thousand packs of different cigarettes were found there.
The cigarettes and minibus costing more than Br450 million were confiscated. An administrative case has been started.
The infringer may be fined for up to 500 base amounts (90 million roubles) and his goods and vehicle may be confiscated, BelaPAN reports.
