17:24 Brest inhabitants obliged to buy local goods

Brest entrepreneurs have a tie-in of local goods. Among them are biscuits “Idyliya”, local vodka, chocolate and other products.

The administration of the Union of entrepreneurs of Brest turned to the Regional Executive Committee expressing doubt about the legitimacy of the decree of the Ministry of Trade obliging entrepreneurs to sell local products.

Despite the fact that some entrepreneurs think the decree will bring positive results, members of the civil organization still have questions about the tie-in, which is not diverse.

Brest sellers will have to sign contracts with local enterprises which demands time and additional money. An entrepreneur from the shopping centre “Hastsіnny dvor” thinks the decree is meant to encourage local producers who are experiencing problems selling their products or are already on the edge of bankruptcy.
